Pinto Basto Tours was opened in the United States in 1985. This office was the US headquarters of  Pinto Basto Viagens of Lisbon, Portugal.  Pinto Basto Viagens was established in 1922 to handle the bookings on the ships owned by the Pinto Basto family. 

Our company which has operated independently since 1987 specializes in vacation programs in Portugal and Spain. The company has become one of  the largest providers of Pousadas of Portugal and Paradores Spain vacations in the United States, Canada and Latin America. 

The company is a charter member of  the Spanish Tour Operators Association (STOA) and the Association of  Tour Operators to Portugal (ATOP)
