La Rioja
-
Comfort and Riojan Atmosphere
The orange shade of its bricks dominates on the exterior façade
and has a decisive influence on the atmosphere of the interiors of this Parador
of Spain. Medieval motifs, sometimes epic and religious, decorate
living rooms in which the colors of earth contrast with the flowery, green
garden and the fresh water of the Ebro and the Cidacos.

- 19. Cambados
Pontevedra
Former Country House Facing the Arosa Estuary
This Parador is an ancient mansion that started to be built in
the 17 Century. The tranquillity that can be enjoyed in the former
Pazo de Bazán country house coming from, to a great extent, the
Arosa estuary, complements drawing rooms with solid stone columns and ceilings
covered with wood. The furniture, with classical, functional chairs
and armchairs, competes with the bedrooms that have large luminous windows.
The attractive inner garden and smooth façades flatter this Parador of
Spain.

- 20. Cañadas del Teide
Island of Tenerife
High Mountain House with Impressive Panoramic Views
This beautiful Parador rises up almost 1½ miles high on
the island of the “eternal spring”, in the Cañadas del Teide Nature
Reserve. The views themselves make you want to stay in the only building
that exists in the Reserve. This Parador offers the traveler the
exclusive opportunity to spend the night in the middle of this extinct
crater.

- 21. Cardona
Barcelona
Medieval Castle with Tower and Romanesque Church
The fortified 9th century enclosure where this Parador is
located conceals a 2nd century tower and an 11th century church along
with spectacular bedrooms. Some of these bedrooms even have
four-poster beds. The headland on which it is sited, give
shelter to a concise past which has now given way to furniture
inspired from medieval times in the drawing rooms. All this is
offered with a privileged viewpoint of the fortified town.
