15th Century Hospital
The former Hospital of St. John the Baptist takes refuge in the
religious spirit of absorption and reflection offered by the Monastery
of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. The original orchard forming
the garden, its secluded swimming pool, arcade and white walls
announce the spacious living rooms of the interior. The bedrooms
recall the religious function of this Parador’s origins.

A Combination of Sea and Mountains
On the volcanic, paradise island of El Hierro, near to where
the “0” Meridian passed until a century ago, this beautiful Parador rises
up, next to the sea, with whitewashed walls and wooden balconies.
Comfortable bedrooms, from which the gentle murmur of the waves can be
heard, form part of an interior with and elegant, colonial tone.
There is also a garden with a swimming pool, dragon trees, coconut palms
and “tabaibas”.

10th Century Castle on the Bidasoa Estuary
This Parador was a defensive fortress founded in the year 980
by the Navarrese king Sancho Abarca. The walls conceal a magnificent
interior, recovered with mastery, and a perfect combination of medieval
adornments alongside designer items and modern comfort. Elegant bedrooms,
splendid views of the French coast, and the indescribable beauty of an
inner courtyard, decorated with the nakedness of its stone, are the most
recognized complements of this illustrious Parador.

Jaén
Exceptional 13th Century Arabic Fortress
Santa Catalina Castle and Hill defend the extent of the horizon
of Jaén. The stone offers protection form the hot sun that
inundates the surroundings. The monumental nature of the exterior
remains in the principal drawing room, with its crossed arches 20 meters
high. The dining room maintains its Arabic roots and the bedrooms
and living rooms offer ornamental line opts for comfort. The softness
of the shades contrasts with the vertigo of the views and the blue of the
swimming pool.

Jarandilla de la Vera

15th Century Medieval Castle-Palace
The orchard of La Vera and the Tiétar, among gorges of
water and natural landscaped, protects this fortification that for months
was the home to and illustrious guest: the Emperor Charles V. The
warm, refreshing swimming pool, with olive trees, orange trees, noble coats
of arms, turrets, a drawbridge, an arms courtyard, and views of the Gredos
mountain range adorn and interior with forged metal lamps, wooden beams
and intimate lighting.
