Itinerary: Day 1, Friday: En route
Depart the USA on overnight
flight to Madrid. Day 2, Saturday: Madrid
Arrival at Madrid
Airport and transfer to your centrally located hotel. Afternoon panoramic tour
features Madrid's principal avenues and monuments; the Alcala Gate, the Plaza Mayor, the
Plaza de España, plus the Neptuno and Cibeles fountains.
Day 3, Sunday:
Madrid-Cordoba-Seville
Buffet breakfast.
Depart by luxury coach, across the plains of La Mancha and arrive in Cordoba. The guided
tour of the great Mosque will be an unforgettable experience. Later proceed to Seville.
Dinner.
Day 4, Monday:
Seville
Breakfast.
Morning panoramic city tour including the Tower of Gold, Maria Luisa park, the Plaza de
España, the quaint Santa Cruz Quarter and the interior of the cathedral. Luncheon in a
typical restaurant. Afternoon free.
Day 5, Tuesday:
Seville - Gibraltar - Costa del Sol
Buffet breakfast
and departure south to the Mediterranean Sea. Free time in the English colony of Gibraltar
where you may choose to explore "the Rock". Continue to Spain's famous Costa del
Sol for dinner and accommodations.
Day 6,
Wednesday: Costa del Sol
Buffet breakfast.
Free day to enjoy one Europe's most popular playgrounds. Perhaps take a stroll on the
beach visit the charming mountainside village of Mijas. Dinner.
Day 7,
Thursday: Costa del Sol - Granada
Buffet breakfast
and morning departure through impressive mountain scenery to the fabled city of Granada,
at the foot of the snow-capped Sierra Nevada. Afternoon escorted tour of the impressive
Alhambra, once the fortress palace of the Arab kings who ruled this portion of Spain for
centuries. Dinner.
Day 8, Friday:
Granada - Aranjuez - Madrid
Buffet breakfast. Cross the land of Don Quixote and
windmills to the royal town of Aranjuez. Admire the impressive exterior of the Versailles-like palace before continuing to Madrid.
Day 9,
Saturday: Madrid
Buffet breakfast.
Free time to enjoy the city, perhaps visit the Prado Museum, take a walk, or do some
shopping.
Day 10, Sunday:
En route
Buffet breakfast
and transfer to the airport to board your flight. Arrival in the USA later the same
day.
